Dr. Diana Hummel ist seit 2002 wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin am ISOE mit den Forschungsschwerpunkten Demographie und Gender & Environment. Sie leitet die Nachwuchsgruppe "demons" und ist Lehrbeauftragte am Fachbereich Gesellschaftswissenschaften der Goethe-Universität Frankfurt am Main, Schwerpunkt Internationale Entwicklungen. Sie absolvierte ein Studium der Erziehungswissenschaften, Psychologie und Gesellschaftswissenschaften an der Universität Frankfurt am Main und promovierte dort 1999 zum Thema "Der Bevölkerungsdiskurs. Demographisches Wissen und politische Macht"; Forschungs- und Lehrtätigkeit an der Universität Frankfurt am Main.
