Victoria van der Land works as research assistant at the ISOE, focussing on everyday life, energy and consumption. She studied sociology, political science and education at the University of Trier/ Germany and the University of Alcalá de Henares/ Spain. In her master thesis, she analysed the importance of modern energy for sustainable social development in South Africa.
